GENERAL USE _____________ |
The compost used is made from sphagnum peat moss with cow and horse manure and shrimp waste. Sources for each of the components is controlled to ensure maximum homogeneity. No residues are used in the process. After a phase of active decomposition, the compost is matured to stabilize the process, yielding a top-quality product with ideal chemical characteristics: a C/N ratio of 20 to 25, a high nitrate content, and a good balance of nutrients. Peat moss already has recognized physical characteristics such as good water retention, high air capacity, and good drainage. Adding compost to it increases the mix's weight (higher stability), water reserves (fewer waterings), buffer effect (chemical stability), and so on. Experience has also shown that the use of compost helps protect against certain pathogens, such as pythium, fusarium, phytophtora, and rhizoctonia. TG-4's main component - long-fiber, blond sphagnum peat moss - provides the ideal physical characteristics for most plants, whether in pots, hanging baskets, trays, cellpacks, or containers. With its stringent quality controls, TG-4 guarantees outstanding results bag after bag, year after year. This product is not recommended for plug production or plants that prefer acid soil. |
